In the first quarter of 2023, the performance of the top 5 social apps in Israel displayed interesting trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Me - Caller ID & Spam Blocker, and X performed.

TikTok from TikTok Pte. Ltd. experienced a steady decline in weekly revenue, starting at around $174K at the end of December and dropping to approximately $142K by the end of March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a peak of about 49.6K in mid-March but closing the quarter at around 35.5K. Active users showed a slight increase from 4.08M at the start of the quarter to about 4.24M by the end.

Facebook by Meta Platforms, Inc. saw varied revenue, peaking at $7.3K in late February and ending the quarter with approximately $3.6K. Weekly downloads showed a slight increase mid-quarter, peaking at around 26.5K in early March, then declining to about 21.3K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 5.53M and ending at 5.43M.

Instagram from Instagram had modest revenue growth, peaking at $687 in the last week of March. Weekly downloads were fairly stable, with a peak of about 27K in mid-February and ending the quarter with around 23.9K. Active users showed minor fluctuations, starting at 4.73M and ending at 4.68M.

Downloads saw a significant increase towards the end of Q1, peaking at around 12.2K in mid-March. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 954K and ending at about 943K.

X from X Corp. experienced a dramatic revenue spike, particularly in the week of March 20, reaching around $6.5K. Downloads showed steady growth, peaking at about 10.9K in the last week of March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 968K and ending at around 979K.
